SPGRE has been in existence since 1988 as an outreach program, seeking to encourage historically underrepresented minority students at UNC-Chapel Hill to consider pursuing the Ph.D.

To date, 766 students have participated, and of these _____% have gone on to graduate schoool and _____% have sucessfully obtained their Ph.D.
